Peptides: Science, Hype, and Why Fundamentals Still Win

What peptide therapy really does, and what most people get wrong.

Peptides are the trending topic in fitness, recovery, anti-ageing, and performance right now, and for good reason. Short chains of amino acids, peptides act as messengers in the body, telling it how and when to activate certain pathways: metabolism, recovery, hormone release, inflammation, and even fat storage.

The promises are big. The science is often misunderstood.

Fat loss. Muscle growth. Faster recovery. Anti-ageing. The claims around peptides are everywhere, and some of them have a real mechanism behind them. But with all the hype comes a confusing mix of facts, myths, marketing claims, and uncertainty, and most people can’t tell which is which.

How peptides actually work

Peptides don’t do the work for you. They signal. They tell the body to activate or modulate a process it’s already capable of running. That distinction matters, because it explains why peptides can support a well-built system and do very little for one that’s missing the fundamentals underneath it.

Evidence versus hype

In my latest short vlog, I break down what peptide therapy actually is, how peptides work in the body, what’s backed by evidence, what’s pure hype, and why so many people are chasing shortcuts instead of mastering the fundamentals. Understand the mechanism first, and the marketing stops being so convincing.

Watch the breakdown before chasing another trend.
