RUCKING is TRENDING

Rucking: a form of physical exercise that involves walking or hiking with a loaded backpack or rucksack, typically over varying distances and terrains.

Its become a massive trend of late, but it actually roots back to the military where soldiers would carry heavy loads over all kinds of terrains to build endurance and strength.

I am a BIG fan! Why?

  1. It improves your fitness, conditioning and stamina
  2. Builds strength through your entire body
  3. Its low impact
  4. Builds crazy mental toughness
  5. It can literally be done anywhere

My personal tips if you want to give it a go:

  1. Start light and increase the weight of your pack as you get more conditioned
  2. Get a quality backpack that gives you a strap around your waist
  3. Watch your posture – Nice straight back and relax those shoulders
  4. Pace yourself – Ruck don’t run

Its trending because its effective, it gets you outdoors, it can be social and it literally prepares you for anything.
